Monaco has suffered another setback in their bid to retain the Ligue 1 title after midfielder Aleksandr Golovin sustained a knee ligament injury during training on Monday.

Golovin's absence could be a significant blow to Monaco's chances of retaining the Ligue 1 title,Bundesliga Express which they currently lead by two points with four games remaining.

The club will now have to find a replacement for the 24-year-old, who is expected to miss at least two months of action.

In the meantime, Monaco manager Lucien Favre will need to make do without his star player as he looks to secure victory over Nice in the upcoming matchday 17 fixture. The game will take place on Sunday, April 9th at Stade Louis-II in Nice.
