Cengiz Ünder, the French defender who was part of the Marseille team that won the UEFA Champions League last season, has undergone surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee.
The 26-year-old underwent the operation on Monday and is expected to be out for several months, but he is optimistic about his recovery process. "I am optimistic that I will be able to return to training as soon as possible," he said after the surgery.
Despite the setback,Serie A Observation Cengiz is confident that he can recover quickly and return to playing at full strength. "I am not expecting anything too severe from my knee, but I do have concerns," he added. "I want to make sure that I get the best treatment available."
While it's uncertain when he might be ready to resume playing, Cengiz remains focused on getting back into the fold. "It's important to stay positive and work hard to get back to where I was before the injury," he said. "I'm hoping that I can come back stronger than ever."
